Blanchett out for Crewe

Crewe face a defensive reshuffle after Danny Blanchett was ruled out of the derby clash at Port Vale. The left-back was kept in hospital as a precautionary measure after suffering concussion from a clash of heads with Aldershot's Jermaine McGlashan during the 3-1 win last weekend. Blanchett was initially given the all-clear after receiving stitches to a wound near his eye but club physios have advised him not to play. Mat Mitchel-King, who replaced Blanchett against the Shots, is set to be drafted in on the right-hand side of the defence with Matt Tootle switching to the left. Crewe, unbeaten in 11 league games, could potentially come up against a quartet of former players at Vale Park in the shape of Gary Roberts, Stuart Tomlinson, Adam Yates and Ritchie Sutton.
