Alex still eyeing goalkeeper signing

On-loan stopper David Button has returned to Tottenham for an assessment of the back problem that ruled him out of the 5-3 defeat at Accrington on Friday night. Steve Collis replaced Button against Stanley but Thordarson is keen to make changes following what he called an "embarrassing" loss. "The decision was taken that David Button should travel down to Spurs and he is with them now. They will assess the situation and look into the problem. The priority is to make sure that David is okay," said Thordarson. "It has been a difficult weekend, we were in on Saturday and Sunday morning to assess what happened. Things had to be dealt with because in the last three games we have conceded nine goals, which tells you what we are after and what we need to change." Defender Ashley Westwood, midfielder Luke Murphy and striker Byron Moore are all pushing for places in the Icelander's starting XI.
