Crewe eased the pressure on boss Dario Gradi with a magnificent seven in their first League Two victory of the season as they smashed Barnet 7-0. Gradi had come under fire after a winless start, but goals from Clayton Donaldson (2), Shaun Miller (2), Joel Grant, David Artell and AJ Leitch-Smith sent fans away happy. Hapless Barnet were under the cosh from the start. A flowing move down the left culminated in Luke Murphy's header across goal being turned home by Miller in the third minute. In the 35th minute Miller sent Donaldson racing clean through and as keeper Jake Cole slipped, the striker slotted neatly into the corner. It was 3-0 two minutes after the restart when Grant lashed home from 20 yards, and Artell's header made it 4-0. Ashley Westwood teed up Donaldson to nod his second of the afternoon just before the hour. Miller took advantage of a fumble by Cole on 79 minutes and substitute Leitch-Smith rammed home Matt Tootle's pass eight minutes from the end.
