Alex set for changes

Crewe chief Dario Gradi has hinted at changes for the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy clash at Carlisle following his side`s ignominious FA Cup defeat to Tamworth. After Alex fell at the first hurdle against non-league opposition on Saturday, Ajay Leitch-Smith and Adam Dugdale could be among those set for starts in the quarter-final tie at Brunton Park. Striker Leitch-Smith put in a lively showing as a second-half substitute at Tamworth, while Gradi needs to assess whether academy defender Dugdale is worth a new deal. "I need to see how one or two people play. I keep saying Ajay is potentially our best goalscorer, but he has only been getting a few minutes in games," said Gradi. "I want to see whether he can reproduce what he does in training. "I've also got Adam here and his contract runs out at Christmas, so I need to see him play."
