Crewe manager Dario Gradi was left celebrating a fruitful New Year period after watching his side come away with a deserved 1-0 victory at Shrewsbury. Shaun Miller side-footed home his 10th goal of the season from eight yards in the 67th minute to hand the visitors their second win in the space of 48 hours after Saturday`s 2-0 triumph over Northampton. "We controlled the game until the last few minutes when they were having a go but if only we could score from free-kicks and corners, we'd be right up there with the best," said Gradi. "We've taken six points in three days with two clean sheets and are playing controlled football - everybody, even David Artell. Their centre-forward only got one shot in and no headers. It was hard to find a mistake that he made and even Danny Blanchett is holding his own." Gradi continued: "They're all young and improving. Shaun Miller scores every time he plays and although Clayton (Donaldson) was not particularly good here I don't know if there are two better strikers in this league. "They both have potential and Clayton doesn't have to improve much to play above this league."
