Alex chief angry with his players

Gylfi Sigurdsson gave Crewe the lead, only for a John Finnigan penalty and Paul Connor's winner to leave the Alex just one point and one place above the relegation zone. "This is the first time since I have been here that the players haven't done what was asked of them," blasted Thordarson. "It's a sad day because we showed no commitment or fight. "I told the players that if we played in the second half like we did in the first we would go on to win the game but we let ourselves down. "We showed no desire to win the game and now the last two games are going to be really hard fights."
