Adams back for Reds

Crawley hope to welcome back Nicky Adams for the visit of Walsall.

The midfielder missed last weekend's 1-1 draw at Carlisle through illness but should be fit to return and could replace Kyle Bennett, whose loan from Doncaster is up.

Striker Billy Clarke climbed off the bench to score Crawley's equaliser at Brunton Park after five weeks out with a knee injury, so boss Richie Barker must decide whether his top scorer is fit enough to start against the Saddlers.

Barker has no other injury concerns as his side go in search of a first league win in six matches.

Walsall manager Dean Smith is expected to name an unchanged line-up for the trip.

The Saddlers showed their promotion credentials as they beat Peterborough 2-0 on Monday night - their second successive victory.

Should Smith decide to freshen up his side, Ashley Hemmings, Troy Hewitt and Julian Gray are among the players waiting in the wings.

A third straight win could see Walsall move into the play-off places ahead of next Tuesday's trip to struggling Sheffield United.
