Murphy and Harrold boost Crawley to victory
Crawley pulled off their third win in four Sky Bet League Two games with second-half goals from Rhys Murphy and Matt Harrold giving them a 2-1 home victory over Luton.
Cameron McGeehan put Luton ahead before 1400 travelling fans, but an improved second-half display gave the hosts maximum points.
Luton began confidently and defender Luke Wilkinson put an early shot wide after a miskick by Jack Marriott.
Fit-again former Brighton striker Craig Mackail-Smith shot narrowly over from 25 yards before Crawley threatened when Rhys Murphy headed a Gwion Edwards cross over.
Crawley called up veteran keeper Darryl Flahavan for his first competitive game for 12 months, and the new signing was beaten when midfielder McGeehan struck to give Luton the lead after 32 minutes.
McGeehan headed his seventh goal of the season at the far post, nodding the ball across Flahavan following a cross by Sean Long.
McGeehan later drove a low shot wide of Flahavan`s right-hand post as Luton ended the half on top.
Crawley levelled on 67 minutes through striker Murphy, on loan from Oldham, who rose unchallenged to head home a cross by Edwards from 10 yards.
Murphy set up Harrold as the hosts clinched victory 10 minutes from time and the latter beat keeper Mark Tyler with a well-placed low drive from 20 yards.
