Robins rock Red Devils

Medhi Kerrouche scored twice as improving Swindon clinched their third successive league win with a 3-0 victory at Crawley.

Alan Connell opened the scoring after 28 minutes and strike partner Kerrouche settled the game by striking twice in the last 10 minutes to condemn last season`s Conference champions to their first home defeat of the campaign.

Swindon deservedly went ahead when Matt Ritchie released Raffaele De Vita and his overhead kick was steered in by Connell at point-blank range for his third goal of the season.

Crawley came more into it after the break and Tyrone Barnett sent a glancing header wide before strike partner Matt Tubbs was off target with a low drive.

But Kerrouche made the points safe for Paolo Di Canio's side in the 82nd minute by converting from close range after goalkeeper Michel Kuipers could only parry a low shot from Ritchie.

Much-travelled striker Kerrouche sealed victory in emphatic fashion three minutes later by lashing in an unstoppable left-foot shot to increase his season's tally to four.
