Cowdenbeath eye return to winning ways

Cowdenbeath striker Luke Armstrong left the club this week and will not be involved when Forfar visit Central Park.

Goalkeeper Jamie Sneddon remains out with a thigh strain and Kyle Miller is absent with a foot injury as manager Colin Nish looks for improvement following last Saturday's defeat against Stranraer.

Nish said: "It was a very flat performance and that was unusual. We were bullied a bit as well and we need to improve a lot on that performance to defeat Forfar.

"They will be sore after losing to Linlithgow Rose in midweek and will be out to make someone pay. We have to ensure that it is not us."

Forfar have recent recruit Andy Ryan available again after being ineligible for their Scottish Cup replay with junior side Linlithgow Rose that ended in a 1-0 extra time defeat.

Michael Travis remains out with a knee injury and Mark Baxter, Iain Campbell and Danny Denholm are all struggling with manager Gary Bollan saying: "That defeat was sore on the night and it remains sore now.

"As disappointing as it was we need to put it behind us and concentrate on getting points on board.

"Cowdenbeath will be looking to bounce back as well after losing at home last Saturday so we will know that we are in a game."
