Kenny Adamson suspended for Cowdenbeath as leaders Dunfermline visit

Cowdenbeath have Kenny Adamson banned for their League One clash against leaders Dunfermline on Saturday.

The Blue Brazil remain under pressure from the division's bottom two and are without the suspended Adamson, with Jamie Sneddon (thigh), Fraser Kerr (hand) and Kyle Miller (foot) all missing through injury.

Dean Brett does return to the squad after serving his own ban and Cowdenbeath boss Colin Nish wants to see a good performance against League One's runaway table-toppers.

"We secured a goalless draw against Dunfermline at our place earlier this season and it would be terrific to put on the same type of gritty display that worked so well that day," he said.

"Dunfermline will go on to win the league 1 title however it would be great if we can take something from this game to help our cause at the other end."

The visitors have Ryan Williamson in contention for the first time since breaking his leg in August - with a possible return for Lewis Martin after a spell out through illness.

Dunfermline manager Allan Johnston, who is still without Callum Fordyce (leg), may be just three wins from the title but he is not planning on letting up.

"We are doing well and we are in a good position however we cannot take anything for granted. Cowdenbeath have a number of very useful players and Central Park is a tricky venue so we need to play well again to take the three points - the finishing line is in sight but we cannot let standards drop," he said.
