Stewart missing for Cowdenbeath

Sammy Stewart (ankle) remains the only injury absentee for Cowdenbeath as they look to get the better of Fife neighbours Dunfermline in the first leg of their play-off final.

Blue Brazil boss Jimmy Nicholl said: "We are playing with confidence and are looking forward to this game. We know a lot about Dunfermline and know that we will need to work incredibly hard and keep playing the good football we have been playing to establish a lead.

"It will be a real derby occasion but it is really important that the players do not get caught up too much in the event. They need to keep cool heads throughout."

Dunfermline will be missing three strikers for both legs of the final with Lawrence Shankland and Ryan Wallace ruled out with groin injuries and Jordan Moore remaining absent as he battles against skin cancer.

Defender Jonathan Page is available after suspension, with manager Jim Jefferies determined his men can overcome determined opponents.

Jefferies explained: "Cowdenbeath may have finished the season second from bottom but they are in good form. They battled until the end of the season and then defeated Ayr United home and away in the semi-finals.

"They will see this as a second chance to stay up and will be very determined to take it."
