Steven Thompson bags a brace to earn Berwick victory
Steven Thomson's first-half brace earned Berwick a 2-0 victory at Cowdenbeath.
The 31-year-old took his tally for the season to four with strikes in the 27th and 35th minutes during an otherwise even first half at Central Park.
His first came after good work from Greg Hurst and the second from a Jordyn Sheerin cross, rifling the ball into the roof of the net.
Cowdenbeath tried to force a way back into the game after the break but created few chances as Berwick held firm.
The result takes John Coughlin's side up to fourth in the Ladbrokes Scottish League Two table, while Cowdenbeath remain seventh.
