Chesterfield have been linked to some interest in Coventry City defender.

The centre half was brought to Sheffield Wednesday from whom City signed him by Dave Allen, who is now a major shareholder at the club which will play League Two football next season.

Wood made 19 appearances for City before getting injured in the season just gone.
