Wolves Sack Manager After FA Cup Defeat

Wolverhampton Wanderers have sacked their manager Stale Solbakken after their 1-0 defeat at Conference side Luton Town.
That was one of the few shocks on FA Cup Third Round day. Other shocks saw Brighton beat Newcastle who included former Sky Blue Gael Bigirimana 2-0, Macclesfield beat Championship side Cardiff City without former Coventry City players Ben Turner and Aron Gunnarsson 2-1 and Oldham won 3-2 at Nottingham Forest.
Southend, Bournemouth, Leyton Orient, Bolton and Blackpool all got draws against higher division opposition.
The lowest ranked team in the competition - Hastings United lost 4-1 at Middlesbrough.
There were also wins for Aldershot, Aston Villa, Barnsley, Blackburn, Huddersfield, Reading, Derby, Leicester, Man City, Millwall, Sheffield United, Norwich, Chelsea as well as Tottenham who beat Coventry City 3-0.
