Noel Whelan was last night still waiting for a phone call from Coventry City, to let him know if he would be offered the coaching position he desires.

Tweeting, Whelan, who has admitted that he is desperate to coach, wrote: "No news or contact yet from CCFC, I'm hoping and fingers crossed I can come in and help this coming season.
