Westwood earns boss' praise

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman picked out Keiren Westwood for special praise after the Sky Blues secured an impressive 1-0 victory at high-flying Birmingham City.

The former Carlisle United goalkeeper produced a series of fine saves as Coleman's side moved up to 14th in the Championship table.

"It looked like there was two of him in our goal - Keiren was absolutely tremendous for us," the former Fulham and Real Sociedad boss said after the game.

"I can't remember one save that stood out in particular because there were so many of them. In the second half he was absolutely outstanding.

"Birmingham are a very dangerous side offensively and are very strong going forward and we did well to frustrate them at times.

"When we got the goal they got frustrated because they couldn't find a way through us and then the crowd turned on them which was what we wanted.

"Overall it was a good performance from us because this is a notoriously difficult place to come."
