Watford win

Win was deserved. Coventry City defender Martin Cranie has spoken for his team mates when he said that Saturday's 2-0 win over Watford was a massive relief.  He said, “It is a massive relief for the lads. They are all buzzing and we have got a ten point gap now, which is good for us, although we never wanted to be in this position in the first place, but, obviously, we are and we have got to do everything we can to get out of it. “I thought we played very well and moved the ball around a lot better. Andy Thorn has come in and said he wants to play football and in the right way and not just for the sake of playing football and I think we thoroughly deserved the win overall.” One aspect of the game Cranie wasn't satisfied with was the final scoreline, which he thought should have been greater. Striker Lukas Jutkiewicz had the ball in the net three times, but had two goals ruled out, one for a foul on the goal keeper Loach, who admitted after the game that he was lucky to get away with his error and once for offside when he poked in Sammy Clingan's rebounded shot. Cranie said, “He (Jutkiewicz) could have had four to be fair. Lukas had a couple disallowed but to be fair to him when he went on he changed the game and the win could have been a bigger margin for us." Coventry City have two away games next, the first on Saturday is at Derby County, then on Tuesday they travel to one of Cranie's old clubs Portsmouth. “Saturday’s result is a massive positive for us and we are all looking forward to two away games now and if we can continue playing like we did against Watford and go with the same team spirit and show the same effort I am sure we can get more wins on the board." “I always look forward to going back to Pompey. There is always a good atmosphere down there and I probably get a bit of stick but that comes with the job really.”
