Ward turns down County loan move

The centre-back, 24, has slipped down the pecking order at the Ricoh Arena of late and the recent arrival of Richard Wood has thrown his first-team involvement further into jeopardy. The Magpies registered an interest in Ward earlier this week but he has turned down the prospect of a loan switch, although that may not be the end of the matter. Sky Blues boss Coleman said: "Elliott has turned down the chance to move, albeit on loan, but something might happen in January."
