Two may need surgery

Decisions to be made soon Two Coventry City player face a wait to see if they will need surgery to correct long standing problems. Winger David Bell has a cyst on his knee and he has been told to rest for ten days to see if the problem will heal by itself, otherwise he will have to face minor surgery' Bell has missed out on the last two games because of the cyst and will now miss another two games before he will know if he is to undergo surgery. Manager Chris Coleman said of Bell, “Belly needs ten days rest and the cyst should get a lot better and he’ll be OK, that’s the best case scenario.”  “The worst case scenario is that if it doesn’t clear up he will have to have an op but he could well be back before the end of our season. “If he has it now we can still get something out of him before the end of the season, worst case scenario.” The other player anxiously waiting to hear his fate is defender Ben Turner who has an Achilles tendon injury. Turner has missed a large pat of the season because of his injury, but played the full 90 minutes of a reserve game at Nottingham Forest last week, but the old injury flared up again and he was forced to miss out on a first team return against Peterborough. “Ben has got a problem with his Achilles, which is not settling down,” explained  Mr Coleman. “He played 90 minutes in the reserves last week and did well but his ankle reacted badly afterwards and if he is no good this week, which is the cut off point, we have to say he has got to go off and have surgery and that will be him out for the rest of the season.”
