Turner commits to Sky Blues

Coventry City defender Ben Turner has pledged his future to the Sky Blues by penning a new contract that will keep him at the Ricoh Arena until June 2011.

The 20-year-old, who came through the club's academy system, has made 38 first-team appearances for City.

Club chairman Ray Ranson told City's official website: "We're obviously delighted that Ben has signed a new deal with us.

"He's fought back admirably from a long-term injury in the summer and his involvement in the starting line-up of late is a fitting reward.

"We're very happy to have retained his services over the next two years as we see young players like himself as part of the future that we're trying to build at the club."
