Trust Won't Work With Fisher Over Playing Away From Coventry
Sky Blue Trust Statement
The Sky Blue Trust have said in a statement that following consultation with their membership, they will not be working with Coventry City CEO Tim Fisher in plans for the Sky Blues to play their home matches outside of Coventry.
The Trust Board had asked members if they supported their stance of The Trust Board strongly believing that CCFC must play its home games in Coventry and calls upon all parties to get together and negotiate a deal to play at our home, the Ricoh Arena, next season. Therefore the Trust Board’s stance is to refuse to co-operate on any plans for moving home games from Coventry.
In a statement, the Trust have said: "We have had a great response to the recent question put to Trust members about whether they supported the Boards stance in declining to co-operate with Tim Fisher’s proposal for Coventry City to play their home matches away from Coventry.
"The results are in and show overwhelming support for the Boards stance and we thank you for that.
"The Board will now convey this message to Tim Fisher and we will continue to put pressure on all parties to do everything possible to come to an agreement that enables our club to play at our home, the Ricoh Arena."
