Thornton Released By Northampton

City Old Boy News Former Coventry City and Coventry Sphinx midfielder Kevin Thornton has been released by Northampton Town. Thorton has been at Northampton for nineteen months after being released by Coventry City and then playing for Coventry Sphinx and Nuneaton Town. He had been on a month to month contract at Sixfields since the summer and has been told that his deal was not being renewed. Thornton had 24 starts and 21 sub appearances and scored nine goals for the Cobblers.
