This Will Be Our Toughest Game To Date - Thorn
Thorn on Good Friday visit of Scunthorpe Coventry City caretaker manager Andy Thorn has said that the visit of Scunthorpe United to the Ricoh Arena this afternoon will be City's toughest game to date. The Sky Blues booked their place in next season's Championship with a 2-1 win over Millwall last Saturday but Scunthorpe are still fighting to avoid the drop, although it will cost them in the fact that they will have to put seats into standing areas of Glanford Park. Speaking about this afternoon's game, Thorn told the CT: "It's been tough getting these points but with the committment of everyone we have shown what we are about and what we can do. "We have got to keep that going because I think this game will be our toughest so far. "Scunthorpe have hit a run of form with a couple of good results and they're scrapping for every point they can get, so it's vital we match them from the start. "The expectations have grown from our fans and rightly so because we feel that we have turned the corner, if you like. But we don't just want to stop there - we want to step on, keep raising the bar and improving standards that we demand from each other. "It's not a tap that you can turn on and off - you need your foot on the pedal all the time. And no matter what happens to me, it's important that we have a strong finish because if you do that, you can't wait for next season to start."
