There Needs To Be Greater Trust Between The Players - Pressley
Pressley On Defeat At Portsmouth
Coventry City manager Stephen Pressley has said that his players need to develop a great trust of each other.
Speaking after the 2-0 defeat at Portsmouth, which was his first defeat as manager of the Sky Blues, Pressley told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I thought that we started the game well; in the first 20 minutes we had real domination of the game and a couple of big opportunities to take the lead and we didn't.
"There needs to be a greater trust with the players, and that's something we'll work towards. I want us to become a real team which can dominate a game and I don't think we did that today.
"I'm disappointed. Not in the efforts of the group, not in their attitude, it was just their passing. We didn't dominate the game as much as we could have.
"It'll come. We've got a group of players who are hungry and I'm confident we'll respond to this setback.
"There's obviously been distratctions, but I don't think they've had any impact on the game, there'll not be any excuses. We'll continue as a footballing staff to get results and get performances, and I'm sure our supporters will respond to that."
