Coventry City striker Leon McKenzie is poised to hand manager Iain Dowie a timely boost by returning to action.
The 29-year-old forward has missed the last nine games with a knee injury, but is close to returning to first-team contention ahead of a tricky run of away fixtures.
McKenzie scored two goals in his opening six matches of the season before being sidelined.
"Leon is getting closer but he may need a reserve game under his belt before he's fully ready to return," Dowie told the club's official website.
"He'll resume full training tomorrow so we'll see how he goes, but we are probably looking at having him back in the squad for the QPR game on Tuesday rather than Saturday."
