Coventry City returned to Walsall for the second time in the transfer window to sign defender Scott Dann for an undisclosed fee.
The Sky Blues had already raided the League One club to bring his team-mate Daniel Fox to the Ricoh Arena during January.
Dann, 20, has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year deal at the Championship club.
"Scott is an immensely bright talent with a promising career in front of him," manager Iain Dowie told the club's official website.
"He has been a consistent performer for Walsall in both their promotion campaign last year as well as this season and there's no doubt in my mind that he will be a valuable and exciting addition to our squad.
"He is comfortable on the ball, with an excellent range of passing and he has also chipped in with a few goals over the last couple of years.
"I am really looking forward to working with him."
