Sky Blues loan in Clarke

Coventry City have swooped to sign Sunderland defender Clive Clarke on a one-month loan deal.
Sky Blues boss Micky Adams is short of cover in defence and sees the former Stoke City and West Ham man as the ideal alternative to Portsmouth's Richard Duffy, after an injury scuppered his proposed switch to the Ricoh Arena.
Clarke only moved to the Stadium of Light from the Hammers during the summer, but picked up an injury in the second game of the season against Birmingham City in August and has struggled to get back into the side on his return to fitness.
As a result, Adams has handed him the chance to play first-team football with the Sky Blues and he will feature in their home clash against Colchester United on Monday evening.
Adams told the club's official website: "Clive is an experienced campaigner in the Championship, as well as tasting football at international level.
"We're in a position where we don't have any fit full-backs available at the moment, so Clive will go straight into the team."
