Boss Chris Coleman hailed his Coventry City side after they took a huge step towards Championship survival with a 5-1 victory at Colchester United.
The Sky Blues ran riot in the second half at Layer Road, having trailed 1-0 at the interval against the already-relegated U's, to move three points clear of the relegation places.
Coleman said: "It was what we needed and it was what we deserved.
"We started very well and I felt the goal we conceded was offside.
"But we kept going and we came out and had a great start to the second half. The confidence went up after that and it was a great win.
"It was a big day for us, but, to be fair, the players were calm and we knew we had to be on the ball."
