Coventry City have made defender Gary Borrowdale and midfielder Chris Birchall available for transfer.

Neither player has featured in the first team since Chris Coleman took the managerial reins towards the end of last season.

"I have spoken to Chris and he needs to go and play football somewhere. He is not going to figure for us," said Coleman.

"Gary Borrowdale is the same and it is time for us to move on and time for them to move on.

"There is no problem in terms of personalities with either player.

"They are two good professionals and two good guys, but if they want first-team football it has got to happen elsewhere."
