Sky Blues deny Wood bid

Coventry City insist they have not made any bids for players, amid rumours that they have had a £1million offer for Sheffield Wednesday defender Richard Wood rejected by the Owls.

Sky Blues chairman Ray Ranson has also confirmed that he will not be renewing his interest in Wolves striker Freddy Eastwood.

"We've made a number of enquiries for players but we've not made any bids yet," he told the Evening Telegraph.

"The only way any deal for Eastwood would be resurrected is between Freddy and Wolves, but as far as we're concerned we're moving on."
