Coventry City are reportedly close to unveiling former Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic boss Iain Dowie as the new manager at the Ricoh Arena.
The Sky Blues are keen to secure the services of Dowie as a replacement for the sacked Mickey Adams following reports linking the former Northern Ireland international striker with the managerial hot-seat at Leicester City.
The Foxes are on the verge of being taken over by Milan Mandaric with the former Portsmouth owner expected to turn to Dowie to replace under-pressure Rob Kelly at The Walkers Stadium.
Dowie has been out of football since being sacked by Charlton just 12 games into the Premiership season.
"We have produced a criteria checklist which has been developed with the help of both our associate directors and the supporters' consultative group," revealed Sky Blues managing director Paul Fletcher.
"From these meetings we have finally agreed on the mandatory attributes required in our next manager.
"We cannot hurry the process but I, along with my fellow members of the selection panel, are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring that the next manager of Coventry City is the right person for the job."
