Sky Blues close in on Kyle

Coventry City are reportedly on the verge of sealing a £600,000 swoop for Sunderland's out of favour striker Kevin Kyle.
The 25-year-old Scotland international has failed to hold down a regular place in the Black Cats side since Niall Quinn took command of team affairs this season and it seems his time at the Stadium of Light could soon be over.
Kyle only returned to full fitness last season after a long-term hip injury which at one stage threatened his career. However he has not had any further fitness problems and is looking for a quick move.
Indeed the striker was said to be at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday evening undergoing a medical and discussing terms.
Sky Blues boss Micky Adams moved after losing Gary McSheffrey to Birmingham City last week, and the fact Sunderland lost out to West Brom for Aston Villa hitman Kevin Phillips should not have any impact on the deal.
