Sky Blues bring in Sawyer

Coventry City have signed teenage Chelsea midfielder Lee Sawyer on a month's loan.

The 19-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blues, with his only senior football coming during a loan stint with Southend United earlier this season.

Sawyer scored three times in 13 appearances for the Shrimpers.

Meanwhile, Sky Blues manager Chris Coleman has confirmed that City had agreed a fee with another club for the sale of striker Michael Mifsud.

However, the Malta international, who almost joined Bristol City last summer, failed to agree personal terms and remains at the Ricoh Arena for the time being.
