Sky Blues bring in Baker

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has continued to revamp his squad by snapping up Carl Baker from crisis club Stockport County.

The 27-year-old midfielder has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Sky Blues.

Baker, who is Coleman's fourth permanent signing of the January transfer window, has found the net 13 times in 24 appearances for a Stockport side that is rooted to the foot of the League One table.

Coleman said: "We're delighted to have landed Carl. We've been looking at him for some time now and I know one or two others have also been tracking him.

"He'll be a very good addition to the squad along with those we've already made this transfer window."
