The only player movement at Coventry City thus far in the transfer window has seen two players leave the club.
Chris Birchall has had his contract cancelled by a mutual agreement, freeing him to join another club.
The Trinidad & Tobago international had been on loan at Carlisle United and Birchall is now training with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Brighton boss Micky Adams said of Birchall: "He hasn't played for Coventry this season and we are having a look at him to see if we fancy him and he fancies us."
Also leaving the Ricoh Arena is defender Gary Borrowdale, who has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Queens Park Rangers.
Left-back Borrowdale had been loaned out to the Loftus Road outfit in November and the deal has been made permanent for an undisclosed fee.
