Rumours helped in team talk

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that the internet rumours spread last week on Twitter and the club's Facebook page about him resigning, helped with his team talk on Saturday.

Speaking to the CT, Thorn said: "That wasn't very nice. "The thing that hurt me most was that they were saying things about the players because that couldn't have been further away from the truth but whoever did it probably did me a favour.

"It made my job easier because I hardly needed to give a team-talk. But no, it wasn't me who started the rumours. It was my missus!"
