Ranson issues share plea

Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson has urged supporters to transfer their shares in order for his takeover of the club to be completed.
Ranson's Sky Blue Sports and Leisure Ltd consortium acquired a controlling interest in the Sky Blues back in December and currently holds 88 per cent of the club's shares.
However, the former professional footballer still needs another two per cent of the shares before he can take full control at the Ricoh Arena.
"I'm very pleased with the progress we have made in the process of transferring shares and we are now only two per cent short of the percentage needed to acquire the club," he told the club's official website.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank those supporters who have kindly transferred their shares and also to encourage any remaining shareholders to contact the football club immediately.
"I am confident of reaching the 90 per cent threshold within the next couple of weeks and when it is achieved, Sky Blue Sports and Leisure Ltd will be in a position to announce new boards for Coventry City Football Club and Coventry City Football Club (Holdings) Ltd."
