Ranson firm over Westwood

Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson has warned that his club will not lose the services of goalkeeper Keiren Westwood for nothing.

The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland is attracting interest from a number of top-flight clubs, with Westwood out of contract at the end of next season.

Ranson told the Coventry Telegraph: "We're looking to have more talks with Keiren.

"It's no surprise all the big clubs want him. We're not soliciting any firm bids, but we're expecting it now the transfer window has opened.

"If it gets so far that we would lose him for nothing on a Bosman free transfer that will not happen - I can assure you.

"We would be forced to sell him. He won't be leaving this club for nothing, that is for certain."
