Pressley With High Hopes For Willis

City Boss On Jordan Willis

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he has been impressed by Jordan Willis and has high hopes for him.

The centre half, is a former Covsupport News Service City U18's Player of The Year, who progressed through City's Academy to make his first team debut in 2011 against Southampton and did well for the U21's last season.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Pressley said: “During the close season he was brought into the England Under-19 squad but unfortunately couldn’t attend because of his injury, but we’ve got really high hopes for him because he’s really impressed me.

“He’s the type of player who wants to return to the club with aspirations of pushing for a first-team place.”

Willis' chances of playing in the first team have increased dramatically after Pressley has not renewed the contracts of Richard Wood and Nathan Camerom and told the likes of William Edjenguele and Kevin Malaga that he is not part of his plans.
