Peterborough United's director of football Barry Fry has revealed that Championship rivals Coventry City remain keen to sign Aaron McLean and Craig Mackail-Smith.
The Sky Blues have already had a bid for the duo rejected while McLean had a transfer request granted by Posh earlier in the week.
"Coventry told me straight after our game there on Saturday they wanted to sign Aaron and Craig in January so I told them our asking price," Fry told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
"They are going to discuss it at a board meeting and get back to me but believe me there isn't enough money in Coventry to get either of them.
"We aren't interested in selling Craig anyway. If we were we'd be more likely to sell him to a Premier League club because there has been a bit of interest.
"But our chairman is keen to keep as much of the squad together as possible because even if we suffered the misfortune of relegation we would have a strong team for a League One campaign."
