Plymouth bolster defence for Coventry

Argyle sign two defenders Coventry City's next opponents Plymouth Argyle have received a boost ahead of their  clash with the Sky Blues at The Ricoh Arena on Saturday. At a tribunal heard in north London yesterday, Argyle were granted a work permit for Zimbabwean defender Onismor Bhasera. Plymouth will now have to apply for a visa and for international clearance for the 23 year old defender. He has been training with Plymouth for several weeks. Bhasera  is  free to join any club of his choosing outside of the transfer window as he has severed all links with his previous club, South Africa's Kaiser Chiefs. Argyle manager Paul Mariner said "Baz came very highly recommended to us by Paul Hart. Having watched him work over the past few weeks, seen him interact with the players, and seen his technical ability, it became a very important step for the club to sign this young player." Bhasera probably won't be available for selection to face Coventry because there will be insufficient time to process his visa. One player who will probably be available to play against Coventry City wil be loan signing Bondz N'Gala. Central defender N'Gala is on loan from West Ham for a month and has been a long time target for Mariner, who said, "He's a very strong, uncompromising defender, but he has got more ability than an archetypal Championship defender." "He has been on our radar for a while, and he came in for a week's training last month. We wanted to keep him but circumstances meant it didn't happen. West Ham had to do some things and they had some injuries." "Now they have got players coming back and Gianfranco Zola and (assistant boss) Stevie Clarke are letting him out to us. We are very grateful." N'Gala is now set to start training with his new team mates in preparation for the game against the Sky Blues on Saturday.
