Plans To Minimise A444 Supporters Crossing

Staircase bid to help ease traffic delays

It is understood that plans to try and minimise the amount of supporters using the crossings on the A444 from the Hen Lane and Winding House Lane areas in order to get to Coventry City's Ricoh Arena are moving on. 

The agencies involved have come up with a staircase to the footbridge currently over the A444 from Car Park C, so that people coming from the Hen Lane or Winding House Lane direction can get to the footbridge and cross the road that way rather than scrambling up the bank as at present and lessen the amount of times the traffic is stopped on match days.

it is expected that this staircase will be fully operational before the Olympics next year.
