Peter Reid Out Of Plymouth

City Old Boy News Former Coventry City manager Peter Reid has been sacked as manager of Plymouth Argyle. The Devon based side, who are besought by financial problems are bottom of League Two and Reid, who lasted just over six months in the Highfield Road hot-seat, has been sacked by Peter Ridsdale who felt that a change of manager was the only way that Plymouth could avoid a drop out of the Football League. Yet again, players have not been paid with wages again deferred and Reid along with his players has not been paid a full weeks wage since last December when the club went into administration. Speaking to Plymouth Argyle's official website, Mr Ridsdale thanked Reid for this time at the club and added: "It is crucial that we give ourselves time to attempt to preserve Football League status and therefore it is felt that a change of manager now is the only option. "An announcement will be made within the 24 hours with regard to interim arrangements for the management of the first team."
