Coventry City defender Richard Wood is understood to have been linked with a return to his former club Sheffield Wednesday.

The central defender is in the last year of his contract at the Ricoh Arena and is now being reported as the Sky Blues' biggest wage earner.

It is understand that if Sheffield Wednesday managed by former City defender David Jones, do make a bid, Wood will not face Inverness Caledonian Thistle tomorrow at the Tulloch Stadium (3pm kick off).
