Morrell eyes more goals

Andy Morrell was delighted to score his first goal for Coventry City in Saturday's 4-2 win against Stoke City, but is eager to add many more to his total.

The striker moved to Highfield Road during the summer after scoring 35 times for Wrexham last season, but had begun to get nervous after not finding the net during his first five Sky Blues appearances.

He told the club's official website: "Confidence has been boosted by Saturday and we'll take that forward into the Preston game.

"Personally I'm just looking to score a goal every time I get on the pitch, whether that be starting or as a substitute. That's what I'll be looking to do and all the other strikers at the club will be hoping for the same thing.

"I was delighted to score and first and foremost I was happy to win - that's the most important thing."

The victory was the Sky Blues' first of the league season and their first at Highfield Road during 2003.
