Middlesbrough FC are lining up a move to take Martin Cranie to the Riverside Stadium.

Tony Mowbray has been interested in Cranie whose contract at Coventry City expired on Sunday, for a while.

According to the Northern Echo, Mowbray is now considering a bid for the defender.
