Coventry continued their pre-season preparations with a 1-0 victory over League Two side Northampton at Sixfields.James McPake scored the only goal of the game in the sixth minute, the defender hooking home from 12 yards after Ben Turner had headed a Sammy Clingan free-kick back across the penalty area.Both sides had chances thereafter, but there were to be no further goals as the Sky Blues held onto their lead.
