Coventry City have signed striker Kevin Kyle on a three-year contract from Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old, who has won nine caps for Scotland, is reported to have cost the Sky Blues around £600,000.
Kyle's progress with the Black Cats has been hampered by a number of injury problems, but City boss Micky Adams is confident that he has snapped up a class act.
He told the club's official website: "Kevin provides an obvious aerial threat, as well as being very strong on the ball.
"He is a real handful for defenders to deal with as well as being a proven goalscorer at this level, which is very valuable.
"In addition to this, he's only 25 so he has age on his side. He has also experienced football on the international stage, which can only be of benefit."
