Keogh agrees Sky Blues move

Coventry City have completed the signing of Irish defender Richard Keogh on a three-year contract, after he turned down a new deal at Carlisle United.

The 23-year-old had been with the Cumbrians for the past two seasons, having moved north from Bristol City in the summer of 2008 following a previous loan spell at Brunton Park.

Keogh told his new club's official website: "It feels fantastic to be here, because a chance to play for a massive club like Coventry City in the Championship is what I've been working for.

"Carlisle have been great to me, but I felt now was the right time to move on.

"I'm pleased the manager has shown faith in me and I want to repay that."
